50th Anniversary Additions

WDW 50th

BIBBIDITY BOPPITY BOO NEW!

(Disney’s New 50th Anniversary Additions)

1.) Main Street Confectionary- OPENED!

Main Street Confectionary

Main Street Confectionary is officially opened as of September 29th, and that is music to our Mickey ears. The old-fashioned candy store located on Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom has been closed since March for some sweetening up. While we are excited to see the new updates and possible hidden Mickey’s- we are hoping they didn’t change that rice crispy recipe.

2.) Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Remy's Ratatouille Adventure

Speaking of recipes, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure 4D ride is finally ready for taste testing on October 1st and is promised to be the perfect appetizer to the 50th Anniversary Event. (Too many cooking references?) You’ll be able to experience Gusteau’s kitchen the way our friend Remy does in Disney/Pixar’s film Ratatouille. This ride will shrink you down and whisk you around the busy Parisian restaurant leaving you hungry for another ride.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is located in EPCOT and is only available through a virtual queue, so make sure to sign up early as there is limited seating.

Don’t starve yourself of this opportunity. Ok, I’m done.

3.)  HARMONIOUS

Epcot's Harmonious

If there is one thing that can unite us all – it’s Disney Magic, and Epcot’s Harmonious Firework Spectacular will do just that! In preparation for the 50th Anniversary, Disney has brought together over 240 culturally diverse artists to create one of the largest nighttime spectaculars Epcot’s water lagoon has ever displayed! The fifteen minute show will feature our favorite Disney scenes and soundtracks in as many languages as there are places to buy Mickey bars in the park. (That’s a lot of languages.) Even though from country to country we sing different lyrics, we all hum the same Disney tunes!

4.) DISNEY KITETAILS

DISNEY KITETAILS

(Cue: Mary Poppin’s Let’s Go Fly a Kite

The Imagineer’s have been working hard for the 50th Anniversary to get “Disney Kitetails up in the air. This vibrant display of kites and sounds will hit the skies October 1st in Animal Kingdom’s Discovery Theater. Your favorite characters from “The Lion King”, “A Bug’s Life”, and “Finding Nemo” will take kite form in a new magical way several times daily!

5.) ENCHANTMENT

Magic Kingdom Enchantment

All roads lead back to Magic Kingdom for what’s promised to be the most captivating, pixie-dust filled night time spectacular yet! For the first time the show’s display will not only include our favorite castle, but will surround all of Main Street USA. There won’t be a bad seat (or place to stand) in Mickey’s house. Disney has said they are eagerly anticipating Enchantment’s debut of colorful fireworks, enhanced lighting, and our favorite Disney music on October 1st. Enchantment will most likely fill all of our senses with Disney magic.

'Disney Fab 50'

In addition to these new additions, keep a lookout for “Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection” as 50 of our most beloved Disney friends are sprinkled throughout all four parks as golden statues. There are said to be 36 golden statues unveiled already, and the rest waiting to debut this week!

This is just the start of Disney’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations…and it’s Disney so we know there will be more magic to come!
