6 Reasons to Add Typhoon Lagoon to Your DVC Vacation

6 Reasons to Add Typhoon Lagoon to Your DVC Vacation

This summer at Disney is going to be hot, hot, hot. The weather and the 50th Anniversary celebrations are heating up this summer and we encourage you and your school of fish to drink lots of water on your Disney Vacation Club Vacation…and take a day to play in it too! We often are so busy trying to fit as much time at all four parks into our DVC vacation, that we forget how much fun the splash zone at Typhoon Lagoon can be! We don’t want you to miss out- and here are a few reasons why!

#1 Blizzard Beach is Closed

Earlier this year it was announced that Blizzard Beach would open January 1, 2022 for refurbishments with a soft opening day during May 2022. We are now in June, and unfortunately, it does not look like Blizzard Beach will be open this summer. So Disney is putting all of its water park ImaginEARing on Typhoon Lagoon.

#2 The Crush N’ Gusher

The Crush N’ Gusher is a 400 foot-long water coaster, and one of the park’s signature attractions. Partner up and pick from one of the three unique fruit chutes: the Pineapple Plunger, Coconut Crusher or the Banana Blaster!  This isn’t your ordinary water slide, powerful water jets will send you up, down and all around Hideaway Bay!

#3 Catch Some Waves

Not only is Typhoon Lagoon a 56 acre water park, it also has the largest wave pool in North America! You and your family will be able to cool off and make memories in this pool of blue water!

#4 Splashes for All Ages

Kettakiddee Creek was designed with pirates and mermaids 4 feet tall and under in mind. The sandy beach and water fun playground will keep your little ones giggling and splashing all day…which often results in a good night’s sleep to hit the parks the next day!

#5 Castaway Creek

56 Acres, the largest wave pool and a lazy river that’s 2,000 feet long! No you didn’t have water in your goggles, you read that right. Put you feet up and float along a 2,000 feet long lazy river route with 5 landing spots that go around the entire park. Flowing waters and winds will help you float and relax on one of the park’s favorite attractions.

#6 H20 Glow After Hours

This summer on Saturday nights, Typhoon Lagoon is throwing the most epic pool dance party of the season. Extra reservations are required, but limited tickets are available meaning… shorter wait times and more waves for you and your family to catch.
