Disney Cruise Line also provides opportunities to sail on themed cruises. A normal Disney cruise experience usually celebrates being on vacation in general with Disney characters in beach or nautical attire. Meeting Captain Minnie or Captain Mickey is always a highlight. Pirate night is a usual favorite with costumes welcomed, a Pirates of the Caribbean inspired dinner menu and deck party and fireworks to top it all off. Cruises may differ depending on the itinerary or length of sailing. Then there’s holiday Disney cruises. The offerings will also be different for the holiday cruises depending on the ship and itinerary. If you are wanting to cruise later in the year but not experience a holiday themed cruises, it’s tricky but not impossible. Look carefully and you may find a single sailing in between Halloween and Christmas cruises depending on how the calendar falls.
Halloween on the High Seas
Disney cruise 2022 holidays kick off early with spooky season in September. Throughout the fall, guests can book a Halloween on the High Seas sailing. The ships are magically decorated and feature small touches like pumpkin window clings in hall portholes. And, to answer the question on everyone’s mind, yes, you can wear a costume! Disney Cruise Line even encourages guests to pack a costume. On a Halloween on the High seas cruise you may experience offerings like character meet and greets with your favorites in costume, Halloween crafts, themed desserts and Mickey’s Mouse-querade. This is a character celebration where costumes are encouraged. New to the line up in 2022 is Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Clarabelle Cow dressed as the Sanderson sisters.
Very Merrytime Cruises
Then there are Christmas holiday themed sailings. Beginning in early November guests can enjoy a ship with decked halls. Again, offerings vary by ship and itinerary but here are some things you may experience on a Very Merrytime Cruise: Disney Characters wearing their holiday best, festive fireworks, Santa Claus sightings and storytime with Mrs. Claus.
