  1. Disney’s Riviera Resort was the fifteenth Disney Vacation Club home resort overall to open.
  2. Riviera opened in December of 2019.
  3. It opened as the eleventh Disney Vacation Club resort at Walt Disney World Resort.
  4. This property debuted as an all DVC building. That means it was constructed brand new with all of the rooms in one of the villa styles. There are Studio style rooms which are similar in size to hotel rooms. Anyone can book at Riviera using the Disney site based on availability. However, there are no traditional hotel rooms.
  5. Disney’s Riviera Resort was the first hotel at Disney World to debut a duo studio style that sleeps just two. These rooms are known as Tower Studios. The next Duo Studios debuted at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows in the Island Tower when it opened in December of 2024.
  6. Riviera has one of the few Disney character meals at resorts. For breakfast, Mickey and his pals descend upon the rooftop restaurant Topolino’s Terrace. They wear their artsy best.
  7. Just off of the lobby, you’ll find a hall with a gallery wall showcasing some of Walt Disney’s travels. This black and white collection gives off a nostalgic feel.
  8. The mosaic tile mural featuring Peter Pan and Tangled fills the outdoor corridor to the Skyliner with color and magic. What you may not know is that it was created elsewhere, cut into sections and installed in pieces in this space. See it during the day and at night for a different view of these masterpieces.
  9. Disney’s Riviera Resort is the first Disney Vacation Club home resort that debuted with the current resale restrictions. It became the first to stop resale owners here from using their points anywhere else. Riviera also can not be booked with resale points by those who own at other resorts.
  10. The art in the Tower Studio pull down beds is a scene from Peter Pan, featuring the Darling children flying out of the nursery. The One Bedroom Villas and Two Bedroom Villas have the same art in the pull down queen size beds but Mickey and Pluto enjoying the French riviera in the single pull down bed. In the Deluxe Studios the single pull down beds have Tangled art with Pascal and the queen size pull down beds feature 101 Dalmatians art.
  11. Riviera is one of the only resorts on the Disney Skyliner.
  12. Can You See Fireworks from Riviera? Yes, but not as good as you might expect considering it’s an Epcot area hotel.
  13. The room styles at Disney’s Riviera Resort include a wide range of accommodations. Room styles are the Tower Studio that sleeps 2 guests and an infant, the Deluxe Studio that sleeps 5 guests and an infant, the 1 Bedroom Villa that sleeps 5 guests and an infant, the 2 Bedroom Villa that sleeps 9 guests and an infant, the 2 Bedroom Lock-Off Villa that sleeps 10 guests and an infant,and the 3 Bedroom Grand Villa that sleeps 12 guests and an infant.14. You can save quite a bit purchasing a resale Riviera contract compared to buying directly from Disney. If you’re ok with the resale restrictions, like only being able to use your points at Riviera, it’s worth it. From Disney, Riviera is running at $225 per point in early 2025. Around that time, resale contracts were listed for about $117 per point. That’s a significant difference!
