Disney Vacation Club has shared that Disney’s Riviera Resort and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa will again receive a price increase next year. DVC had price increases on Riviera and Aulani, both of which are actively being sold, in 2021 as well. As of February 6, 2021 there was a per point price increase bringing Aulani and Riviera to $201. The next $6 increase, effective February 3rd, 2022, will bring both Riviera and Aulani to $207 per point when buying direct from Disney Vacation Club. Unlike sold out resorts, properties that Disney is actively marketing had not reached $200 until the last increase.
If you’re not already familiar you can weigh the difference between DVC direct vs. resale prices based on 2021 rates. Prepare to be amazed. Resale DVC points continue to be the best value for potential buyers or members wanting to add more points to their collection. These direct Disney prices will increase to the numbers above but resale DVC prices are much lower and vary. See our current resale DVC listings for an idea of just how much further your money can go when buying resale DVC points.
Is it possible we’ll see sold out resorts get a price increase per point when buying direct from Disney as well? Disney Vacation Club is also debuting the new studio rooms at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort in the summer of 2022. We’re still waiting for those prices and will keep you updated in, potentially, the new year as they become available.
