For most, December is the busiest month of the year. It’s also the busiest time of year at Disney Parks! December is typically a slower time in traditional real estate. That didn’t prove to be true for resale DVC in December with nearly 10% of DVC Resale Experts sales occurring in December in 2021. We’re taking a look at more DVC Resale Experts statistics for the month to provide up to date information and keep you informed as a resale DVC buyer or seller. These kinds of insights are valuable and helpful when it comes to big decision making. Overall the DVC average resale price December 2021 showed us for all Disney Vacation Club resorts combined was $143.36. The outliers in the range are The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa coming in much higher at $205.00 and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort being the low outlier at $73.75. DVC Average Resale Price December 2021

The Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge DVC average resale price for December 2021 came in at $140.00 per point. During the same time period, the savings when buying resale instead of direct was about 28% for this resort. That’s pretty significant.

In December of 2021, the DVC average resale price for Aulani was $123.00. This is a resort Disney is still actively selling timeshare for and at the direct price of $201.00 per point.

Bay Lake Tower sold for an average of $163.33 per resale DVC point in December of 2021. 

Disney’s Beach Club Villas sold at an average of $160.75 per point in this time period. This is substantially lower than the direct rate of $245.00 per point. Resale for Beach Club means about a %37 savings looking at the numbers over the last year. 

Disney’s Boardwalk Villas were an average of $139.00 per resale point in December of 2021.

Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge were an average of $157.00 for the month of December 2021. 

The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa sold at an average of $205.00 during this month. Compare this to the direct from Disney going rate for this resort of $255.00. We’ll have to see if the addition of remodeled rooms into additional studios changes things at the Grand.

Old Key West was an average of $123.00 per resale point during this time. The December number was up quite a bit from the yearly average. This original Disney Vacation Club Resort just celebrated its 30th anniversary! Looking at the data from the last year Old Key West has one of the best resale savings percentages at about 30% during this time period.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort had an average resale price of $164.86 per point in December of 2021 as it debuted its newly refurbished entrance.

Disney’s Riviera Resort came in at $145.00 per point in December of 2021. This resort is still actively being sold by Disney Vacation Club. At the current direct rate of $201.00 it’s easy to compare and see how much of a better value resale DVC points are.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa sold for $125.67 per point resale in December of 2021. That’s up from the $89 direct Disney price upon launch in 1993.

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort was $73.75 per resale point for this time period. That’s up about $5.00 from the overall annual resale price of this resort in 2021. 

And while we don’t have December numbers to offer for Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Grand Californian at Disneyland or Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, as these three remained among the least sold during the calendar year of 2021, we do have annual data to share for these in our upcoming post so check back for that.
