The most popular of the DVC events might be Moonlight Magic! This special theme park event happens different dates throughout the year and at various parks. Entry is complimentary for eligible Members if you can reserve one of the limited spots available. So when is registration for the 2025 DVC Moonlight Magic events?
When can you sign up for DVC Moonlight Magic 2025 events?

Who can sign up for Moonlight Magic early registration?
Early registration for Moonlight Magic events is for DVC Members with resort reservations.
Disney says:
Members may have access to early event registration, when they hold a confirmed qualifying Resort reservation made:
- by using their Membership with Vacation Points, Reservation Points or cash, and
- by calling Member Services or visiting DisneyVacationClub.com, and
- by the Resort reservation/modification deadline
Who can go to Moonlight Magic?
Moonlight Magic is one of the special events held just for Disney Vacation Club Members and their guests. Not all Members are able to go though. Is Moonlight Magic included with resale DVC? Unfortunately these special events are reserved for Members who are eligible for Membership Extras. That means, if you join today, you must own 150 points purchased from Disney Vacation Club directly. If you are already eligible, perhaps you purchased back when the requirements were different, adding on resale points does not change your status.
What is Moonlight Magic like?
Disney advertises these events to include shorter attraction wait times, Disney character meet and greets, special entertainment and complimentary treats. Offerings are subject to change though. There have been special event fireworks at Magic Kingdom Moonlight Magic events in the past.
Even if you’ve gone to one of these, each event might be different than before with varying characters, entertainment and such. Due to the nature of this event, Lightning Lane is not available. It’s probably not needed though! Moonlight Magic does happen if it rains though everything may not be up and running as planned.
Can you enter the park early for Moonlight Magic?
For some special events, like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2024 and Disney After Hours, you may be able to enter the park early. Going in at 4:00 p.m. for an event that begins at 7:00 p.m. really gives you a head start. With Moonlight Magic, additional time in the park is not included. You will have to use your annual pass or buy a ticket to enter the park before the event starts. You may also need a Disney park reservation.
