DVC Point Borrowing Restrictions Dropped

DVC Point Borrowing Restrictions Dropped

The travel industry, including The Walt Disney Company, was hard hit over the last few years. Drastic changes were made in order to accommodate both for the health and safety of guests and for best business practices. Disney, especially Walt Disney World Resort, finally seems to be catching up and returning many offerings that have been closed since 2020. Even Disney Vacation Club had to change standard operating procedures. With the following announcement, Members now have more normalcy restored in terms of booking.

DVC Point Borrowing Restrictions 2022 Now Dropped

In a letter sent to Disney Vacation Club Members, Bill Diercksen, the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Vacation Club and Aulani, shared this exciting news:

DVC Borrowing Point Rules Return To Normal

This is great news for all Disney Vacation Club Members as banking and borrowing work the same whether you purchase from Disney directly or from someone else on the resale DVC market. Banking and borrowing points is very helpful in planning vacations, especially for those interested in staying at different times throughout the year where more points than usual may be needed in order to book. The ability to borrow your full vacation point allotment also brings back the flexibility to book bigger accommodations and invite more family and friends on trips. Banking, borrowing and the ability to book at the time of year and in the room type that work best for you are certainly positives of owning Disney Vacation Club.
