Disney Vacation Club has some exciting extra fun going on for Members this summer. We’re discussing the details of this new perk debuting in 2024 for those who are eligible for Membership Extras. It’s awesome to see Disney introduce new offerings after a handful of slow years. Disney Vacation Club calls this a Member celebration. This offering invites Members to, “Unleash #ThatMagicalFeeling at the first-ever Welcome Home Weeks!” Some of the Welcome Home Weeks benefits have more specific eligibility requirements. For example, you must be staying at a certain resort at the time to partake in the festivities. We’re outlining everything you need to know about Welcome Home Weeks below.
For Welcome Home Weeks, assume you need a valid Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card and photo ID at any event check-in.
The Member listed on the Digital Membership Card must be in attendance as well.
You can not park at a resort to enjoy one of the Welcome Home Weeks activities. Take Disney transportation instead.
Note there are limits, like one serving per week or one ice cream per location, for food items.

Where is Upper Bradley Falls at Animal Kingdom?
Part of getting your complimentary treats will be knowing where to find them. For the Sweet Stop in-park ice creams, the Animal Kingdom location is Upper Bradley Falls. At the time Welcome Home Weeks information was shared for DVC Members, “Upper Bradley Falls” at Animal Kingdom was not easily found. The Bradley Falls kiosk is now Caravan Road. You’ll find it across from Mr. Kamal’s and near Feathered Friends in Flight! in the Asia area of the park. It’s unclear where the Sweet Stop will be exactly. We will update if this is clarified. Surely Cast Members in the park will know on the day of the event.
Welcome Home Weeks at Disneyland
Disneyland Resort also has Welcome Home Weeks and corresponding activities at both parks and The Villas at Disneyland Hotel and The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian.

Park entry is not included with these perks.
Remember you need to purchase tickets to the parks on your own for in park Welcome Home Weeks fun. Theme Park admission is not part of Disney Vacation Club. Many Members have a Disney Annual Pass. While there is no longer specifically a Disney Vacation Club discount on annual passes, eligible Members can purchase a DVC Sorcerer Pass also known as a DVC annual pass.
Can resale DVC Members enjoy?
The same policy that applies to other DVC perks applies to Welcome Home Weeks. That means those who have purchased DVC resale contracts are not eligible to attend. Special DVC Member events like Welcome Home Weeks are part of Membership Extras. Eligibility for these events requires new Members to have purchased 150 Vacation Points or more directly from Disney Vacation Club. Many Members qualified for Membership Extras earlier under different requirements like purchasing much fewer direct points. Owning resale does not affect your eligibility. This, like all Membership Extras, is what Disney considers an incidental benefit. That means it can go away at any time and is subject to availability or change. Note that fees may apply to Membership Extras.
Is Welcome Home Weeks worth it? Considering Direct vs. Resale DVC
Knowing the differences in direct points and resale DVC is important when you’re buying a contract. Resale DVC comes with fantastic savings but not all of the extra perks like Welcome Home Weeks. Buying resale vs. direct DVC is a personal decision and depends on your vacation style. Some may be in the position to add on at Disney and become eligible for Membership Extras. If they’re that close to having access to these perks, and these sound of interest, it might be worth it to purchase from Disney directly. When you have the opportunity to save thousands of dollars by purchasing points through resale, free Mickey bars may not be as enticing.
