This festival is similar to the others at Epcot offering special limited time food, merchandise and entertainment offerings. All kinds of art inspires this event like instrumental music, singing, acrobatics, painting and more.
What is there to do at EPCOT Festival of the Arts?
Epcot fully operates during festivals so rides, attractions and shows are open in addition to special offerings there just for the event. A full Epcot arts festival experience will probably include some delicious food and drinks, shopping and observing or participating in art.
Buy special art pieces in all price ranges
Each year, new Disney art pieces made for the event debut. You see temporary tents around the park that serve as small gift shops showcasing art made just for the festival as well as other special pieces. Many artists appear to sign their work that is for sale at the festival. All art isn’t wildly expensive. While there are one of a kind pieces there are also very affordable 5 by 7 inch post card style pieces for less than $10.
The popular Figment popcorn bucket also debuted at this event. You can expect the beloved purple dragon to be included in the festival art and offerings different ways. In 2024, the popcorn bucket that debuted at the festival was modeled after the Imagination Pavilion pyramids and lights up!
Paint for fun or learn a new craft with a pro
Aside from viewing and shopping art, you can also participate in art projects including a paint by numbers mural. It’s also possible to take a drawing class, see a seminar or attend a workshop at Epcot during these festivals. Animation Academy classes are held every day at 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the America Gardens Theatre. Other classes may have a fee and need advanced reservations. You do not need to bring art supplies.
Eat small plates around the park

What to eat at Epcot Festival of the Arts
Every Epcot festival features special food offerings. The arts festival takes the theme seriously with creatively crafted bites. One of the most notable food offerings is a chocolate chip cookie decorated to look like an artist’s palette. Other food items are expertly designed to display the artistry of cuisine. At this festival, food booths are known as Food Studios. You can expect small plates and tasty drinks at each one. Disney on Broadway at Epcot is a concert series featuring performers from Disney Broadway shows. There are multiple shows in the outdoor America Gardens Theatre. Artists usually perform for multiple days, giving you a better chance at seeing your favorites.

A brand new nighttime spectacular debuted at Epcot on December 5th, 2023. This new Epcot firework show is Luminous The Symphony of Us. Fireworks are part of every day visits to Epcot. Disney’s BoardWalk Villas is located on the same body of water as Disney’s Beach Club Villas and so very close to Epcot. Both resorts’ guests can also enjoy boat transportation to the entrance at the back of the park in World Showcase.
Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney’s Riviera Resort has its own Disney Skyliner station that’s just one stop away from Epcot. You can cruise into the area on a gondola in the sky. This also leaves you at the station at the entrance of the back of the park called the EPCOT International Gateway.
Disney Skyliner Maintenance in January
It’s important to note that the resorts on the Disney Skyliner experience downtime for this transportation type annually. The Disney Skyliner closes in January every year for routine maintenance. In 2024 the Skyliner route from Disney’s Riviera Resort to Epcot wasn’t open due to refurbishment from January 16 through the 27. Plan around these dates if Skyliner transportation is a must on your Epcot Festival of the Arts visit.
