Most people end up with a little more than they came with on any trip to Walt Disney World Resort. There’s always something new to shop for and no shortage of magical clothing and accessories to choose from. As Disney’s East Coast flagship resort, the Grand Floridian lobby has quite a few different places to shop. Fans of this iconic property built in the late eighties will like this lineup of resort specific merchandise.
Grand Floridian Loungefly
This Grand Floridian Loungefly mini backpack recently debuted for $75. The Grand Floridian logo print in a beautiful teal-ish color lays over this off-white bag. The colors are reminiscent of the hotel’s bright lobby and green accents in the famous tile designs that feature Disney characters. The design print also features small roses and tiny Mickeys in a floral shaped outline. This popular mini backpack style is co-branded with Disney Parks and Loungefly on the front. This is different than the DVC Loungefly bags which show the Disney Vacation Club and Loungefly logos together. The front pocket features a tufted look with gold thread and tiny, gold Mickey accents. The Loungefly branded zippers and other metal details are a shiny gold. Inside, this Grand Floridian Loungefly backpack has a similar look with the Grand logo print, just in a reverse color aesthetic. These are very popular and fly off of the shelves so if you want one and see one, I would buy it right away.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa has a classic logo with a big GF initial. Technically, the current, updated version of the Grand Floridian logo has the letters GF inside a circle outline. A Cast Member at the Curiouser Clothiers shop shared that more resort specific merchandise with the current logo, including matching Grand Floridian Loungefly ears, would be offered in the future. This is pretty fun news for Disney Vacation Club Members who call The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort home or those who just love to stay at this property in general.
Grand Floridian Branded Merchandise
There is a nice selection of Grand Floridian branded merchandise available at Curiouser Clothiers including some clothing. This Vineyard Vines brand collared shirt features the logo discreetly in the same color. This stemless, insulated wine cup has the Grand’s new logo but also features the Enchanted Rose. A little bit of history, the Enchanted Rose replaced Mizner’s Lounge and another retail location in late 2019, displacing the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra to the lower lobby before they were later let go in 2020. As the mass refurbishments at this resort conclude, it would be great to see the band return. The Grand has such rich history and a special place in Walt Disney World’s story. More Grand Floridian merchandise, and official Disney Vacation Club merchandise, can be found in the nearby Sandy Cove Gifts and Sundries store.
