May 27, the long awaited roller coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind launched at Epcot, and DVC members, guests, and Disney cast members could not be more excited for its opening day!
The new roller coaster is Epcot’s first park roller coaster and Disney’s only launch reversal coaster experience at this time. It’s also one of the largest fully enclosed roller coasters in the world! Walt Disney’s ImaginEARS have come up with new innovative technology that allows the coaster to rotate 360 degrees, so you and your family can experience all this family thrill attraction has to offer.
Guests 42 inches and taller will be fully immersed into a planetarium-like exhibition, where riders will get to take a unique look at both the Xander and Earth galaxies. Everything is smooth sailing…until it’s not. The tour goes haywire and Groot, Rocket, Gamora and Star-Lord will need your help. Your mission will take you on a series of rewinds, reverses, rotations… all with the Guardians of the Galaxy by your side, in this thrilling action packed ride. A full list of hit 80’s music will be the soundtrack to this spring’s most anticipated family experience. The “Awesome Playlist” will include the following songs in their original form, but you won’t know what song will be on your mission, until you hit Epcot yourself!

Last thing! When this ride opens at the end of the month, there will be NO STANDBY QUEUE. Disney has announced that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will have a virtual queue only. This means DVC members will have to reserve their spot in line using the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Lightning Lane entry is available for individual purchase for this ride.
Ok, Last, last thing! Since the ride has been open to bloggers and cast members in the last few weeks, previous riders are highly advising future riders to not experience this ride after a big meal. This is one of Disney’s newest and BEST roller coasters, and like any good roller coaster, you should not ride it on a full stomach.
