The entrance of the park has the classic, silvery garlands with brightly colored bulb ornaments we’ve come to know and love. It gets better inside with the treasured red and white stars on lamp posts lining Sunset Boulevard. In the evenings, Tower of Terror lights up alternating between seasonal scenes and the Beacons of Magic overlay. You’ll see the holiday spirit in action as soon as you walk into Hollywood Studios. The park’s main street, Hollywood Boulevard, has festive garlands from building to building with big stars and tinsel vibes. Both Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards have fun, themed garlands on the shops and buildings. These garlands are each decorated differently and have themed little nods and carefully picked details if you look closely. Keep an eye for Santa and his elves who cruise through the park throughout the day.

Echo Lake is also holiday central with Gertie the dinosaur decked in her Santa hat. The vintage animation character is holding a 50th anniversary red Christmas ornament in her mouth this year. See our guide to the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration for all of the golden goodness around the parks. Colorful, oversized ornaments float merrily on the water of Echo Lake. The real treat to see is Hollywood Studios glitzy Christmas tree. Sparkly, gold garlands wrap this super tall tree that is certainly the park’s centerpiece for these months.

Hollywood Studios is also the venue for one of the only holiday themed shows guests can enjoy with regular park admission at Disney World. For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration celebrates with songs from the Olaf’s Frozen Adventure short film. This tag appears on the end of the regular show which is centered around a comical retelling of the animated classic. Olaf even joins the group and wears his holiday best! He usually doesn’t appear in this show so it’s a treat to see the happy snowman. If you have Frozen fans in your party, make sure to also catch the Arendelle scenes on the Tower of Terror at night during the Sunset Seasons Greetings projection show.
