Hollywood Studios Popcorn

When we think of Hollywood Studios …we think of movies, when we think of movies… we think of popcorn. But, when the Imagineers at Hollywood Studios think of movie food, their brains go to film themed cocktails and desserts that should be nominated for an Oscar…and our tastebuds are thankful for that. (Yes, of course, there’s still popcorn in the park.) But, for now let’s put a spotlight on some new soon-to-be favorites for the 50th Anniversary, only showing at Hollywood Studios.

ACT ONE: ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Shimmer over the Moon: Guests 21 and up

This cocktail starring Ole Smoky Apple Pie Moonshine, Amaretto, Falernum, Pineapple Juice and Club Soda served with a souvenir Glow Cube can be found at the Animation Bar, Oasis Canteen,The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge, and Sunshine Day Bar.

ACT TWO: THE MEATY PLOT- ENTREES

Filet Mignon with Walt’s Hash

Chef James Kleinschmidt created this dish in honor of Walt’s “use all your leftovers” midwestern upbringing. Martha Howard, the Disney family’s housekeeper, wrote down all of the families favorite recipes which were used to recreate this deep and flavorful dish of double roasted and then caramelized beef with potatoes, served with a fried egg on top! This is a must try and is available at The Hollywood Brown Derby.

ACT THREE: A SWEET ENDING- DESSERTS

Hollywood Studios Desserts

Disney’s Hollywood Studios 50th Celebration Sandwich Cookie

Disney’s bakery artists are taking it back to basics with a Strawberry Jam and Peanut Butter-Chocolate Fudge Pretzel Shortbread Cookie. Even though this is technically a cookie… it’s a sandwich, so I think it can pass as a lunch. Get one for your Toy Story themed lunchbox only at Rosie’s All-American Cafe.

50th Celebration Baked Alaska

Layers upon layers of Strawberry-Basil Sorbet, Vanilla Gelato, and Sponge Cake sugar coated with fresh toasted meringue and homemade brownie bites- now showing at The Hollywood Brown Derby.

Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie

This dessert will have you craving more with a creamy and gooey Toffee mixed with a Toasted Coconut Blondie frosted with Salted Caramel Buttercream icing and little festive Gold Nuggets. This goodie is only available at the Fairfax Fare.

Glimmer & Shimmer Funnel Cake

A “big enough for sharing” Funnel Cake served with Vanilla and Cookies N’ Cream Ice Cream  and Golden Cookies & Sprinkles dusted on top! This epic sweet treats is only available at Epic Eats.

Chocolate Mousse

Think all of the chocolate mousses only at ABC Commissary: Raspberry-Dark Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate-Almond Cake and a layer of Hazelnut Cookie Crunch and another layer of Whipped Chocolate-Hazelnut Cheesecake. Yum!

Glimmer & Shimmer Pineapple Mousse

A Golden Pineapple Mousse on a Coconut Cookie Crisp topped with warm Caramel Cream on a Matcha Sponge Cake is one of the stars of The Trolley Car Cafe

Pumpkin Mousse

The second star of The Trolly Car Cafe is a Milk Chocolate Chai Mousse on top of Pumpkin Bread and a Chocolate Shortbread Cookie with a decadent Vanilla Buttercream frosting.

Caramel Apple Tart
