Aloha, Members. Disney has revealed the Island Tower DVC point chart, giving us more information about staying in the new, tropical building. This stunning new setting is set to open December 17th, 2024. It has its own pool and Moana themed water play area and a new restaurant, Wailulu Bar & Grill. Wondering how many DVC Points Polynesian Island Tower rooms require? How many points does it take to stay in the Polynesian Island Tower Deluxe Studios? What are the point amounts needed to book the different Island Tower villas?
Staying on DVC Points at the Polynesian Island Tower
The new building is part of the original Disney Vacation Club home resort at this property. That means if you purchase a Polynesian DVC resale listing, this will be part of your home resort! It also means this building is listed on the same point chart as the other DVC rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
The Polynesian’s Island Tower DVC Point Chart is just the Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows point chart but updated to include the new building and 2025. You can take a look at the actual point chart for specific point amounts and dates. We’re going over some of the other details revealed on the point chart here.
Polynesian DVC Rooms
With the addition of the Island Tower, the Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows home resort has the following room types:
- deluxe studios
- two bedroom bungalow
- duo studios
- one bedroom villas
- two bedroom villas
- two bedroom penthouse villas
How will you know if your room is in the Island Tower or not?
Thanks to the point chart, we know you can specifically book a room in the Island Tower. There are two different kinds of Deluxe Studios and that’s clearly marked out on the point chart for this resort. The one that sleeps up to 5 is the original villa of this size. The one that sleeps up to 4 is noted as “tower inventory” along with the rest of the Island Tower rooms.
This is a quick look at some of the most important details of the Polynesian DVC villas including how many people each room sleeps and whether or not it’s in the Island Tower. Note that the Island Tower DVC vacation points per night varies based on room type.

How many points do you need to stay in the Polynesian Island Tower?
Let’s play with some different point values to get an idea for how many points you need to stay in the Island Tower at the Polynesian.
About 150 points will get you a weeklong stay in an Island Tower Deluxe Studio with a Standard View during most times of the year. The busy seasons, the holidays and spring break time, are a bit more. At 150 points, you would also be covered for Duo Studio weeklong stays for all but Christmas week with a Standard View.
For 200 points, you could stay in a Deluxe Studio with a Preferred View for most of the year aside from Christmas week and peak spring break. This point value also gets you nearly any week of the year, in any view, in the Duo Studios or Deluxe Studios though you’ll need a bit more for Theme Park views at busier times.
You really need upwards of 300 points to start to consider the One Bedroom Villa. Even more when you explore the nicer view options.
You need around 400 to 600 points depending on the view type to book stays in the Two Bedroom Villas. The Two Bedroom Penthouse Villa is wildly more at 638 for a week up to 1437 points at peak times.
Don’t forget about banking and borrowing your points. That can help for those times you want to splurge for bigger accommodations or nicer views.
Are there theme park views in the Polynesian Island Tower?
The Polynesian Island Tower does have Theme Park View rooms but not in all villa styles. The Duo Studios have a Premium View available but not a Theme Park View. It’s possible to book a Theme Park View in Deluxe Studios, One Bedroom Villas, Two Bedroom Villas and Two Bedroom Penthouse Villas. The original Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows rooms do not have a bookable Theme Park View. However, we know the bungalows have an ideal view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks above the Seven Seas Lagoon.
There are also many places to watch fireworks from the Polynesian including in the new terrace gardens. These are open spaces in the Island Tower where guests of the building can look out on the surrounding areas. During Magic Kingdom fireworks time, these should have a great firework view.
