Some are very popular, priced higher and sell faster than others. The amount of points you have is the next detail the price depends on. Remember DVC Memberships prices are by the point. The more points you own, the higher the overall selling price goes based on the per point price of your home resort.

Those selling Disney Vacation Club Membership with a smaller point value might list for a little higher per point. Strategic pricing is important to efficiently sell DVC points. That’s a decent jump in price for that amount of time. Prices for Bay Lake Tower from Disney directly have risen tremendously at this resort. Choosing Bay Lake Tower as your home resort today will cost you $275 per point direct from Disney.

Why do DVC prices go up so much over time?

Disney Vacation Club resale point prices are directly related to direct Disney Vacation Club direct prices. DVC prices overall are related to Disney hotel room prices. As we see prices rise, resale usually follows. Disney is far from immune to inflation. Many have pointed out that some Disney vacation related expenses go up many times the rate of inflation actually. Basic supply and demand tells us that when people want something, the cost might go up to justify that want. The Disney timeshare is very unique in that it’s tied to one of the most beloved companies in the world.

This doesn’t mean prices don’t go down. We won’t see prices drop in the sense of permanent mark downs but sales, specials and promotions can certainly help draw customers when needed. With DVC resale, variables that affect real estate, like high interest rates or economic uncertainty, can also alter the market.
