Grand Floridian DVC Price Per Point
Disney Vacation Club seems to raise prices every year or so. The current direct price per point for The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is $230 per point. This is the price for all point values, meaning it’s $230 if you buy the minimum of 100 points or more. There are sometimes incentives. More on that below.
DVC Grand Floridian Resale Price Per Point
The price is almost always better when you buy resale. As of late 2024, the average resale DVC Grand Floridian price per point is around $154. This price reflects the average per point cost of all of DVC Resale Experts sales at Grand Floridian this year. That means per point prices at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa may be higher or lower depending on how many points you buy. Unlike direct purchases, the number of points you buy does usually have an affect on the cost of the individual point price.
Resale contracts with more points cost less per point while contracts with less points cost more per point.
Did you know the number of points available changes the price?
The number of points available on a contract also changes the price. If the contract is 150 points, that means you get that amount annually. If the points from the year prior weren’t used, they are banked and able to be used by the new owner. In contrast, if the seller borrowed points to use from the next year, there will be less points for the new owner to use. What’s right for you will depend on if you’re wanting more points for immediate use or not. It just depends on how and when you plan to book with your points and if you’d rather pay a little less upfront.
Remember to ask about DVC incentives
While Disney Vacation Club doesn’t have traditional sales, there are money saving incentives from time to time. If you’re choosing to buy direct from Disney, or still deciding, talk to your DVC guide about incentives available at the time. Those who are already Members adding on points usually pay a different price per point than those who aren’t yet owners. DVC incentives may also include buy more, save more style offerings when available.
Is Grand Floridian DVC resale worth it?
The Grand Floridian is one of the most beloved resorts at Disney World. People love to visit at Christmas time to see the Grand Floridian gingerbread house. With Narcoossee’s, Citricos and Victoria and Albert’s, you have amazing elevated dining options. It’s also one of the only Disney resorts with a spa.
With resale, you aren’t given access to special perks and membership extras like DVC lounges, discounts or events. However, the amount you’re able to save per night on stays at the Grand Floridian can be substantial.
Consider closing costs and annual dues in the price of Grand Floridian DVC
Part of the DVC Grand Floridian price overall is the annual dues. These DVC maintenance fees are just part of being an owner. The amount depends on the number of points you have. Annual dues can be paid each year or monthly. DVC Grand Floridian annual dues are $7.57 in 2024. A Member with a 100 point contract pays $757 annually at that rate. The price does go up a bit each year. For example, in 2023 the Grand Floridian annual dues were $7.33 per point.
Closing costs are paid once upfront but it is an additional amount to consider along with the DVC Grand Floridian price.
