However, it’s good to know with Riviera DVC resale, a new set of restrictions is in play. When purchasing directly from DVC, Riviera costs $217 per point.

On the resale market over the last few years, Rivera DVC contracts have been selling in a range around $133 on average per point.

Do you have to be a DVC Member to stay at the Riviera?

You do not have to be a DVC Member to stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort. This and all DVC properties have a number of rooms reserved to be booked with cash, not points, and rented like a regular hotel room. Staying at the Riviera can help you decide if it’s a good fit for you if you’re considering the Disney timeshare. You can also visit for the day by booking a dining reservation at the hotel. It’s easy to pop over using the Disney Skyliner or bus transportation from the parks if you’re staying somewhere else.

While you can stay at Riviera without being a DVC Member, the price difference will be notable. Disney Vacation Club can make deluxe hotel stays much more affordable. With resale, prices can be even better.

Riviera DVC Resale Restrictions

While the savings can be great, it’s important to be familiar with resale restrictions before purchasing Riviera DVC. If you are set on buying resale Disney Vacation Club and it’s a must for you to be able to stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort then it must be your home resort. Anyone who buys resale can not stay at Riviera using points unless it’s their home resort. This is part a new set of rules implemented when this resort came on the DVC scene.

Also good to know, those who buy DVC resale at Disney’s Riviera Resort can not use those points to stay anywhere else. Riviera is Disney’s fifteenth home resort. The original 14 DVC resorts operate under a different set of rules and are more flexible with booking.

When you purchase DVC resale, you lose some of the perks of DVC like discounts and access to special Member spaces. That means you can’t buy Riviera DVC resale and use that to gain access to Top of the World Lounge. This is important to some people. To others, the benefit of DVC is getting hotel stays at great prices. Being informed and considering what’s of the most value to you can help you make your decision.

Delicious Riviera DVC Dining Options: Disney’s Riviera Resort Restaurants

The food is always part of the fun at Disney. Riviera hosts some of the most unique dining venues at Disney World. There’s something special about rooftop dining and Disney does it so well. Topolino’s Terrace sits atop the hotel with stunning views any time of day. Start your morning with a character breakfast featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy. The theme is art and each character’s outfit is something you won’t see anywhere else. The theme continues with the food as a pastry course is provided in a colorful paint bucket. For dinner, Topolino’s Terrace becomes a bit more chic. This elevated dinner service has exquisite flavors inspired by the Riviera.

The pool bar, Bar Riva, has a crisp aesthetic with coastal flair. This open air setting serves delicious bites and beverages right next to the pool. Disney Riviera Pools

The Disney Riviera hotel has two pools for guests to enjoy. Beau Soleil Pool sits right behind the resort’s lobby. This quiet pool is in the middle of a tall u-shape part of the hotel.

The Riviera Pool is a more lively setting with a pool and afternoon recreational offerings. The S’il Vous Play water area here has different water play elements for kids themed to Fantasia.

What transportation does Disney Riviera resort have?

Walt Disney World Resort is massive. The complimentary transportation provided by the mouse makes it easy to get from your resort to the theme parks and Disney Springs. Disney’s Riviera Resort is close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and has its own Disney Skyliner station. You can board the Skyliner at Riviera and go directly to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot. To get to Hollywood Studios, guests of the Riviera take the route to Caribbean Beach resort, then transfer once. Riviera also has busses that take you to and from parks and Disney Springs.

Can you see fireworks at Riviera?

There are some hotel rooms that you can see fireworks from at Riviera resort. However, there are no firework view rooms on the DVC point chart so there’s not a guarantee you’ll get one. You can always request one and hope for the best. It’s possible to see fireworks from Riviera resort in a few different spots around the property. What kind of villas are the Riviera DVC Rooms?

There is a full range of options for Riviera DVC rooms. Disney’s Riviera Resort has a unique studio room style you won’t find at other resorts.

  • The Tower Studio sleeps two adults and has a private balcony.
  • The Deluxe Studio comes with Preferred View or Standard View and sleeps up to five adults.
  • The One Bedroom Villa comes with Preferred View or Standard View and sleeps up to five adults.
  • The Two Bedroom Villa comes with Preferred View or Standard View and sleeps up to nine adults.
  • The Three Bedroom Grand Villa comes with Preferred View or Standard View and sleeps up to twelve adults.
