Each fall, Walt Disney World transforms with seasonal decor and events like pumpkins on Main Street, U.S.A and the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is the perfect event for those looking for a magical Disney Halloween experience that’s suitable for all ages. It’s all treats and nothing scary! The event is back in 2024 with a few new offerings.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Overview
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event. If you have a ticket or annual pass that allows you to visit Magic Kingdom during the day, the park will close early and you will need an additional ticket to enjoy Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It’s frightful fun but, like the name says, not so scary. This family friendly event has a little something for everyone who likes the cute side of spooky season. Characters in their Halloween costumes, trick or treating for all ages and themed fireworks are some favorites that keep people coming back every year. There are also ride enhancements like actual pirates at Pirates of the Caribbean.
Everyone can dress up for Halloween which is extra special considering costumes are not otherwise permitted in the parks!

Disney Halloween Fireworks 2024
For many years, Hallowishes was the Disney fireworks show at these events. If you haven’t been in a few years, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular is the current fireworks show at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This is a 12 minute, perimeter firework show that is best viewed from Main Street, U.S.A. or the hub area or somewhere between the two. It can be seen from many places around the park though if you’re up for casual viewing. The nice thing about Disney Halloween fireworks is that there are far fewer people and you don’t have to stake out a spot early. It’s possible to walk up as the show is starting and get a great view.
Magic Kingdom Halloween Parade

The castle stage show is Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The Sanderson Sisters from the popular film grace the stage for some spooky fun.
The Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet is also a sight to see as well as a sound to hear. If you love the Dapper Dans, this ghostly version of the show will delight you in Frontierland.

Can you resell Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets?
Tickets to this event can be hard to get. It’s a disappointment when you go to buy tickets and see the dreaded, “The 2024 event is sold out. Please check back for information regarding future events.” So can you buy resale Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets? What if someone in your party can’t go or use theirs?
Disney says tickets to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Tickets to Mickey’s Halloween Party may not be resold.
Remember your Disney tickets are attached to your Disney account. Even the little ones in your party have their own identity and tickets attached to them in the My Disney Experience app. Having your party connected digitally and tickets assigned is a major component of a Disney vacation. It allows you to get into the parks, make ride reservations with Lightning Lanes and more. This complicates things with buying and transferring tickets.
Knowing all of this, do your best to have your date picked carefully before you buy. If there is some sort of issue on your trip, especially something that involves Disney, talk to the concierge at your resort or guest relations to see if there is something Disney can do.
DVC Resorts Close to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Walt Disney World has great transportation options at every resort. DVC Halloween party stays can be even more convenient. When you’re planning for super late nights, like at Not So Scary, sometimes it’s nice to stay nearby. Magic Kingdom area resorts are some of the best in terms of theming, amenities, fireworks views and overall location.
The walking path from the Contemporary to Magic Kingdom is the shortest of all resorts. It’s quite the treat to have this option when the monorail line is long or you just want to get back to your resort as quick as possible. Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort also has a monorail station in the main building. There is also a bus available during inclement weather.
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has a walking path directly to Magic Kingdom. It’s on the Seven Seas Lagoon with beautiful views but feels a bit farther than walking to Bay Lake Tower. The main lobby of the Grand Floridian also has a monorail station and there is boat transportation on the Seven Seas Lagoon. Bus transportation is provided during inclement weather.
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows has access to the same walking path at the Grand Floridian that takes you to Magic Kingdom. The walking route is a bit longer because you need to walk to, then through the Grand Floridian first. However it’s a nice option to have. The Polynesian is also conveniently located on the monorail line and there is boat transportation on the Seven Seas Lagoon here as well. Guests will be able to take a bus during inclement weather.
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge are two fabulous home resorts at one beautiful property. Guests staying at either can access Magic Kingdom via bus or boat transportation across Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon.
This is the first year that The Cabins at Fort Wilderness are a DVC option! This Magic Kingdom resort has boat transportation as well.
