Walt Disney Marathon Weekends 2022 are coming up and as the weeks get closer Disney runner’s mile times aren’t the only thing that’s going down, so is runDisney runner sign up availability. Disney has three weekends designated for its running athletes. ( And we aren’t talking about your cousin that runs straight back to Star Wars as the park opens.)
Remember, runDisney weekends are ideal for Guaranteed Weeks for DVC Members. This is just another perk of being part of the Disney Vacation Club. The Guaranteed Week option is a fantastic route to go for DVC members and runners as you can secure the same week every year without worrying about being able to book your reservation AND without locking your family into that specific week you buy. A Guaranteed Week goes for seven consecutive days from Sunday to Sunday. With Guaranteed Weeks and downloadable running plans on the runDisney site- there’s no reason that booking should feel like a workout.
We have some good news and some bad news for our friends that wanted to get in their New Years Resolution early and with Disney.
The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend: January 6-9 2022 is officially SOLD OUT.
The long weekend consists of four days of running (Thursday-5k, Friday-10k, Saturday-Half Marathon, and Sunday-Full Marathon) This weekend is also hosts the famous Goofy Challenge (Half Marathon and Full Marathon) and Dopey Challenge (All four days of 48.6 miles completed.) If you have signed up for this weekend already, it will be extra magical since the race is taking place during the 50th Anniversary! There will be special medals given out and there’s word that there will be even more Disney characters cheering you on to the finish line as you run through the resort!
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend: February 24-27, 2022 is officially SOLD OUT.

If you are signed up to be at the “Once Upon a Time” starting line, make sure to wear your favorite Disney Princess attire- at this event the runners tend to get even more dressed up than the WDW Marathon Weekend!

A night time 3.1 mile run and scavenger hunt through Animal Kingdom. We recommend spending the day at Animal Kingdom to get animal speed inspiration.
Race for the Taste 10k- April 2,2022

Even Remy himself would sign up for this 10k Ratatouille themed race. It was designed with a runner’s appetite in mind. In this race “course” has two meanings.
The Tower of Terror Ten-Miler- April 3,2022
5am: Walt Disney World Resort
Let’s get the confusion out of the way-this race is on ground, and not on an elevator! The only thing scary about it is if you forget to charge your iPod the night before or if you lose an EarPod on the monorail.
runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge
Be one of the first to run this first race of its kind, by sprinting through all three races! You will earn the inaugural Springtime Surprise Challenge medal and earn every calorie of every Mickey bar you eat after.
