Once you discover how it works, you can use it to your advantage to plan amazing trips! It may also be a challenge to decide how many points you need to purchase for how you like to vacation. Here are some examples of what you can get with 150 points based on the 2026 DVC point charts.
2026 Point Chart Edition: What Can You Get with 150 DVC Points?
Not only is the per point price of DVC different at each home resort, the number of points per night varies as well.
The number of DVC points you need on your stay depends on the following variables:
- The Disney Vacation Club resort you’re staying at
- The time of year you are staying
- The day of the week you are staying
- The type of room you are staying in
- The view from the room
We have some awesome Disney trips you can take with 150 points here below.
Almost all of these are in studio style rooms as these are the most commonly booked accommodations.
The priciest time periods of the year in 2026 are the busiest spring break week, March 29 to April 5, and Christmas week, December 24 to 31.
Many of the properties, including those at Walt Disney World Resort, have the same time periods on the point charts. Some properties in other destinations, like Disney’s Hilton Head Resort, have different dates that are popular based on the area they are located in. For example, at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort September 1 through November 24 requires the least points to visit. On the contrary, February 22 through April 11 requires the highest amount of points along with Christmas, probably due to high demand for beachside stays at this time.
Note: This is just a random selection of trips you could book. There are some additional stays this point value could book at some properties. These ways to use 150 DVC points in 2026 are just some samples.
What can you book with 150 DVC points?
It’s good to think about the home resort booking advantage and how that may help you with your selections. When deciding how many points to buy, or where to buy based on point charts, you’ll also want to think about being able to book earlier than others at your home resort. While some rooms might be much lower in points, there may not be as many of them. For example, the concierge option is exciting at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas but there will be less of them than other options.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas* | In January or the first half of May, you can stay in a Kilimanjaro Club Concierge Deluxe Studio room for a week at Animal Kingdom Villas. You can book a Savanna View Deluxe Studio and still have points left over almost any week of the year, except for spring break and Christmas. |
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort* | In September, January or the first half of May, you can stay in a Theme Park View Studio for a week and have some points leftover. |
Disney’s Beach Club Villas* | At Beach Club you can stay in a Deluxe Studio almost any week of the year with less than 150 points. |
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas* | Points go very far at BoardWalk and you can stay in a Deluxe Studio with a Resort or BoardWalk/Preferred view almost any week of the year. You can even use 149 points for a One Bedroom Villa with a Resort View in September of 2026. |
Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort* | At Hilton Head, you can really stretch your points. You can stay in a Deluxe Studio any week of the year and still have plenty of points leftover. You can also stay in a One Bedroom Villa for a week in January or the first half of December. The point chart dates are different at properties in different areas. |
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge* | At Boulder Ridge Villas, 150 points will get you a week in a Deluxe Studio any time of the year except for spring break week and Christmas week. |
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge* | At Copper Creek, you can use 150 points for a week in a Deluxe Studio any time of the year except for spring break week and Christmas week. |
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort | The Cabins at Fort Wilderness offer a week for four of the less busy time blocks on the point chart. That’s pretty good considering these sleep 6 people which is rare in DVC rooms. |
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort* | The Grand Floridian has both a Deluxe Studio and a Resort Studio option. Staying in the Resort View in either of these room styles would be less than 150 points for more than half of the year. See the difference here: Grand Floridian DVC Deluxe Studio vs Resort Studio. |
Disney’s Old Key West Resort* | At Old Key West you can stay in a Deluxe Studio almost any week of the year for far less than 150 points. Just the busy spring break week and Christmas week are more. In September, you can book an Old Key West One Bedroom Villa for 150 points in 2026. |
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows* | The Polynesian also has two different Deluxe Studios to choose from. Some are located in the new Island Tower building. Both of these Resort Studio types have quite a few time periods where 150 points will book you a week with points left over with the Resort View. There are also Duo Studios which sleep two and are economic, covering most of the year with 150 points just not for spring break week or Christmas week. |
Disney’s Riviera Resort | Riviera is another resort that has a studio for two option that’s more economic. There just aren’t as many of these Tower Studios as they’re called. They come well under 150 points much of the year. The more common Deluxe Studios are under 150 points much of the year as well. |
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort* | Saratoga Springs offers Deluxe Studios with Standard and Preferred Views for well under 150 points almost throughout the year. |
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel* | The 150 point value will get you a week in a Deluxe Studio about half the year at the Grand Californian. |
The Villas at Disneyland Hotel | At Disneyland Hotel, the Duo Studio sleeps two and is under 150 points almost all year. The Deluxe Studio with a Standard View and Preferred View both have a lot of availability for under 150 points. |
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort* | There are quite a few 150 point options for a week long stay at Disney’s Very Beach Resort. Most of the year you can book a stay with this amount. |
DVC Point Chart FAQs
Do the DVC point charts change?
Yes, the DVC point charts change a bit each year. The real change that occurs is the date ranges, not so much the points needed for stays. You will not be priced out of your resort or required to purchase more points for comparable stays. Basically, dates that change each year, like spring break season and holidays, will shift peak times on the point chart.
Can I use my points at other DVC resorts?
Remember if you purchase at one of the original 14 DVC resorts you can use your points to stay at any of the other properties in that category. That means you can dream up different stays at varying properties over the years if you choose to.
How does banking and borrowing with 150 points look?
Above are options for those looking to come every year with a 150 point contract. Remember banking and borrowing are helpful with your trips as well. You may want to visit every other year, alternating visits with another favorite destination. In this case, you may not need as many points. It’s also an option to instead use 300 points every other year and expand your options. That amount lets you book a One Bedroom Villa or Two Bedroom Villa easily.
What happens if I don’t use all my DVC points?
It is possible for you to lose DVC points if you don’t use them or bank them by the banking deadline. The date you need to bank them by depends on your use year. With this 150 point value, you’ll see anywhere from a handful to half of your points still available after booking some of the stays mentioned above. With the rest of those points, you can plan ahead and use them early, book an additional trip or save them for the next year. It opens up options to stay in bigger accommodations or rooms with nicer views.
This is the full list of DVC use years and the banking deadlines for each.
Use Year | DVC Banking Deadline |
February | September 30 |
March | October 31 |
April | November 30 |
June | January 31 |
August | March 31 |
September | April 30 |
October | May 31 |
December | July 31 |
How many DVC points do I need?
While 150 DVC points is a common value for Members, you may want to reach for 200 points depending on when you like to visit. You will need many more points if you like to stay in the bigger DVC rooms. To further explore how to use your DVC points, you can always peruse the DVC point charts yourself. Considering specifics like when you like to visit and where you like to stay will help you plan.
What is banking and borrowing DVC points?
